ABOUT ME

Ph.D. student in Literature (Romanistik) at Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Germany, thanks to the scholarship of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

 

I earned a Master's degree in Spanish-American Literature from the University of Guanajuato, Mexico (2019) with the support of Programa de Becas de Excelencia del Gobierno de México para Extranjeros of the Agencia Mexicana de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo.

 

I am part of the working group “Identities and Communities” of the International Latin American Graduate Network of the University of Oxford, Red Europea de Investigaciones sobre Centroamérica (RedIsca), Red de investigación de las literaturas de mujeres de América Central (Rilmac), and der Deutsche Spanischlehrkräfteverband.

With professors Mauricio Espinoza (University of Cincinnati), and Ignacio Sarmiento (the State University of New York at Fredonia), I co-edited the book Central American Migrations in the Twenty-First Century.

My most recent book is República del excremento, translated into Italian by Rocío Bolaños and is part of the catalog of Formarti publishing house (Milano). In 2025, it is expected to have this book in its English version by Mauricio Espinoza. My work has also appeared in literary journals, like Rio Grande Review (University of Texas at El Paso) or Esferas (New York University), in the United States, England, Ireland, New Zealand, Morocco, Spain, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Argentina, and Central America.

Additionally, I have given literature seminars in Germany, Spain, and El Salvador. I am columnist for the feminist platform Alharaca​
